Can you tell us in fews words the story of Firewind ?
Gus G: I started the whole idea in 1998. I recorded some demos and sent them to
labels. My demos got the interest of David Chastain and Leviathan Records.
They asked me to submit more material and a couple of years later, I got my
contract with Leviathan. David Chastain helped me to get the rest of the
members, with the exception of Konstantine, who I brought in.
How did you get this deal with Massacre Records ?
Gus G: The deal with Massacre is a licence deal that Leviathan Records secured for
Why have you choose to make one cover of Scorpions ?
Gus G: Simply because they are my favourite band and I wanted to pay tribute to
them and Uli Jon Roth.
Are you making others covers during your show ?
Gus G: Well, we haven't played live yet.........
What kind of music do you like ?
Gus G: Mainly Heavy Metal and Hard Rock. I also enjoy classical music.
How can you describe your music ?

Gus G: Hopefully. But nothing is confirmed yet.
With which band would you like to make a tour ?
Gus G: I guess The Scoprions would be my dream tour or the Ozzfest!!!
Have you take lessons to play guitar ?
Gus G: Yes, I have been to a Conservatory for 4 years and after that, I was awarded
a scholarship to study at Berklee College of Music, but I dropped out after
2 weeks of studies!!!
What kind of guitarist do you like ?
Gus G: My all time favourites are Michael Schenker, Uli Roth and Yngwie Malmsteen.
Other guitarists I like a lot are, John Norum, Marty Friedman, Vinnie Moore,
Jason Becker, Gary Moore and a lot of others...
Where do you take the inspiration to write the songs ?
Gus G: Inspiration can come from anywhere......it could be from looking at the
stars at night, to depending on the mood I'm in, like if I'm happy or sad.
What are you projects ?
Gus G: My side projects are MYSTIC PROPHECY with whom I've released a debut album
in 2001 called "Vengeance", and a death metal band that I play guitar and
